As the excitement builds ahead of the premiere of The X Factor USA on September 21 and 22, we have a heads up for you. An 8-minute-long extended preview will be aired following the NFL On Fox’s late doubleheader match-ups on Sunday, September 11.
The new X Factor USA trailers treats us to eight minutes of footage from The X Factor which we have never seen before. It will give fans (and potential fans) our first look at the Seattle and Los Angeles auditions, where a record-breaking crowd of thousands turned up at the LA Sports Arena.
The extended preview will also be repeated later on Sunday night during a special extended edition of Family Guy from 8.30pm ET/PT on Fox.
The X Factor premiere across two nights on Wednesday, September 21 and Thursday, September 22 on Fox as Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger and LA Reid begin their search for America’s next singing superstar.
The winner of The X Factor will receive a record-breaking $5 million recording contract with Syco/Sony Music and the chance to appear in a Pepsi Super Bowl commercial.
Last year’s Super Bowl broadcast was the most-watched show in US television history, with an average of 111 million viewers tuning in. Super Bowl XLVI will air live on Sunday, February 5, 2012 on NBC.
It’s a massive opportunity!
Welsh TV personality Steve Jones will host the singing competition, which is open to all individual singers and groups from the age of 12 upwards.
