Lindsay Lohan made a surprise appearance on the “Jay Leno Show,” airing tonight – Tuesday. In her appearance she will admit to being left “numb” by her 120-day jail sentence which she found “shocking.”
“Mean Girls” star Lohan (24), got a standing ovation of rapturous applause from the audience. She admitted she had made a lot of mistakes but that she was young. She says her mind is clearer about what she wants to do and how she wants to behave. But her statement of “I’m in the clear now, and as long as I stay focused, I can achieve what I want to achieve,” will confuse those of us who remember that she faces a misdemeanour theft charge next month.
Lohan is now set to forge ahead with her career. She confirmed that she will appear with John Travolta in the upcoming mob movie, “Gotti: Three Generations.” She grabbed the role from Kristin Chenoweth.
Last Friday, April 22, Lohan received a jail sentence of 120 days for violating her probation by taking a necklace from a Venice Beach jeweler. After launching an appeal, Lohan was released on $75,000 bail the same day. She said that prosecutor Danette Meyers is on a “witch hunt” against her, and hopes that the Deputy District Attorney will replace Meyers as was suggested would happen.
But is Lohan right to criticize Meyers as trying to turn her into a personal press release? Meyers actually asked to be dropped from the case when it was down-graded to a misdemeanor. She has a lot of experience with high profile cases and is well respected in her field. A misdemeanor theft charge after twenty years in the business would be small fry for her.
Anyway, at the moment, Lindsay Lohan is riding high. She has a movie role to concentrate on, the Jay Leno audience loved her and her next court date is far enough away for her to try to wriggle out of… uh, I mean…far enough away for her to not worry about for now.
