Who’s the Daddy? And the Mommy?

This week, Matt Damon and his wife, Luciana, became the proud parents of a fourth daughter. And Celine Dion got two for the price of one when she gave birth to non-identical twin boys.

Baby girl, Stella Zavala Damon, arrived on Wednesday. It is reported to be the last child for Matt and Luciana, but then many of us will recall saying ‘never again!’ even after our firstborn!

“We’ve drawn a line in the sand,” Damon recently told Parade magazine. “This is it. Our lives are full and wonderful and we’re done having kids.”

The couple have been married since 2005 and now have 4 girls between them. Isabella (4), Gia (2) and another daughter, Alexia, aged 11, from a previous relationship of Luciana’s make up the happy Damon home. We will wait and see if the Damon brood is added to in the future but it’s clear they count themselves lucky to have 4 healthy girls and Matt is thoughtful of his wife.

“I don’t want to turn her into Ethel Kennedy,” Damon said of his wife, whom he affectionately calls Lucy.
Instead, the couple want to focus on raising their 4 girls to be good, strong women, Matt Damon is reported as saying.

Elsewhere in Celeb Land, On Saturday, Celine Dion was delivered of twin boys yet to be named. She gave birth by C-section but the boys are healthy, weighing in at a respectable 5lbs 10 ounces and 5 pounds 4 ounces. The birth ends years of heartbreak as Celine and her husband Rene Angelil underwent fertility treatment. The twins are the happy result of the couple’s sixth IVF treatment. The couple already have a son, Rene Charles, aged 9.

“We believed in trying one more time,” Celine told French magazine Paris Match this summer.

The couple are supporters of attachment parenting and will keep the babies with them in their room, in fact, in their bed for the first year or so.

So, our congratulations to all the happy parents!
