Whitney Houston Death Investigation: Hairdresser Found Her Underwater In Bathtub

The theory that Whitney Houston met her death by drowning was given more credence as it emerged that she was found by her hairdresser underwater in the bathtub.

Whitney had been preparing for the annual pre-Grammy Awards party at which she was scheduled to appear. Her hair stylist and two bodyguards were in her hotel bedroom. They became alarmed when the Look To You singer took a long time in the bathroom.

Houston had reportedly been in the bathroom for an hour when members of her entourage knocked on the door. When they were unable to raise a response from her, the female hairdresser entered the bathroom. She screamed when she saw the singer’s face submerged in the bathtub.

Apparently, her body was slumped as though she had slid down the back of the bath. One of the bodyguards pulled her body out of the bath and attempted to resuscitate her, but it did not work. Hotel security was alerted, who called the paramedics and they pronounced her dead at 3:55pm.

As was previously reported, prescription pills were found in the hotel room, giving weight to the theory that she fell into a heavy sleep in the bath and subsequently drowned.
