The latest movie in the hugely popular Twilight saga, “Eclipse” grossed $83.6 million over the Fourth of July holiday weekend. That means it has made an amazing $176.4 million since opening last Wednesday. Its nearest rival in U.S. and Canadian theatres was “The Last Airbender,” but that came in at over $30 million below.
Of course, that’s great, but do the actors enjoy all the non-stop publicity surrounding the Twilight saga? Star Jackson Rathbone (who incidentally stars in BOTH the top two most popular movies this holiday weekend) joked on The Today Show that he likes to wear a fake moustache in public. But he looks so different to his on screen character, we figure he might get away with it.
“That’s one thing I’ve always liked to do with the characters I’ve played throughout my little career. I try to play characters as far different looking and acting as much as possible. I was always a character actor on the stage,” he replied.
“Getting to change your look… my favourite is to go out in public with a fake moustache and see how long it takes for someone to realise it’s fake!”
“Usually I get away with it all day. My friends are like, ‘Hey, wait. What’s that?! You have dirt on your lip!’”
Now of course, we’d probably recognize the handsome star anywhere. So what do you think to “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse”? Have you seen it? Was it worth all the hype? And just how many times do you intend to see it?
