TLC is airing another family show called “United Bates of America.” The show is similar to “19 Kids and Counting,” in which Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are parents to 19 children. Both families are large and deeply religious. Gil and Kelly Jo Bates, along with their children, have appeared on “19 Kids” with the Duggars. The families are good friends and now fans will have two family shows focused on raising a number of children with strong moral values.

While the Duggars reside in Arkansas, the Bates live in Tennessee. The religious family lives a country life and the show revolves around the everyday trials and tribulations each member faces. When the premiere episode airs, Gil and Kelly Jo bring home newborn, Jeb. The house will be full of emotion as the rest of the family welcomes their new addition. From that show on, the simple, yet eye-opening lives of the family members is seen.

Other children within the Bates household age in range to 23-year-old. There are 10 girls and 9 boys who live with their parents in the Tennessee hills. “United Bates of America” is an eight-week series with 30-minute episodes each Monday night.

The first episode of “United Bates of America” airs Monday, August 13 on TLC at 9 p.m., ET/PT
