It is decision time! The judges have taken their category to their homes and listened to the acts perform. And now…only half of them get to move on. This is going to be a tough decision, because some of these acts are awesome. And some are not so awesome, but they have such compelling stories. A homeless person, a recovering addict, a man who’s house is going up for auction in a week. How can you turn those people away?
We’ll find out, I guess. Simon is up first and he tells the ladies who will make it through and who goes home. He speaks to them individually. Who is going home: Tora. Who is staying: Simone, Drew. I’m a little surprised with Simone, but he’s the expert.
Now we hear Nicole break the news to some of her over 30s crowd. She meets with them on the couch and almost all of them cry before she even tells them if they are moving on or not. Who is going home: James and Christa. Who is staying: Josh and Dexter.
Next is Paula’s turn to tell a few groups who are staying and who is going. These groups are still young, so they might still have a chance down the road. Who is staying: The Brewer Boys. Who is going home: Illusion/Confusion, 4Shore and 2squar’d. Did Paula make the right decision? I think so when it comes to the groups – so far. Who will be her fourth group going home?
Time to head back to New York and LA. Ha. LA tells the boys who has what it takes and who doesn’t. Who is staying: Brian and Phillip. Who is going: Skyelor, Brennin and Nick.
Back to London to see who else is going home and then who is moving on to the final 16. Simon is sending Jazzlyn home.
Nicole is sending Tiger home and taking LeRoy to LA.
LA gets to tell a couple more of his subjects if they can go ahead and chase their dreams or if it comes to an end. Chris is going on to LA with LA!
Paula has one more group to send home and the rest will be going through. Who will it be? Lakoda Rayne gets a pass to New York. InTENsity gets a pass to New York. Paula has one spot left and two groups to meet with still.
Simon has two places left open and tells Caitlyn she is going home and Tiah makes it through to LA. What does he see in her? Tiah has issues with her voice, yet she moves on when others who sound better don’t? I don’t get it!
Who gets the final spot in LA’s Boys group? Marcus gets it and Tim has to pack up and go home. Not sure if I like that decision. LA has Marcus, Brian, Phillip and Chris.
There is one groups spot and Paula tells The Anser they are done and the Stereo Hogzz they can make it big if they work hard. Paula’s groups are InTENsity, Lakoda Rayne, The Brewer Boys and The Stereo Hogzz.
It is down to the wire for Nicole and her over 30s category. Will it be Elaine or Stacy going home and ending their dreams? Elaine is going home and Stacy is moving on to LA to try her luck at winning. Nicole ends up with Josh, Stacy, Dexter and LeRoy.
Simon gets to tell his last two who is going to LA and who is done with the competition. Rachel has wowed us with her personality from the start and Melanie has a huge voice. Who can make the last spot in Simon’s girls category? Melanie is going home and Rachel gets to try her luck with the rest of the 15 contestants in the final 16. Simon ends up with Tiah, Drew, Simone and Rachel. Not sure if he picked the right girls or not…almost exactly NOT who I thought would make it through.
Then there is a twist…Simon says he has made a mistake…he can feel it in his gut. Well, I wish his mistake would be in letting Caitlin go and keeping Tiah, but we can’t be sure. What a way to keep us hanging! Will there be more than 16 finalists going through?
Simon talks to all of the other judges and they compare notes to make sure there hasn’t been a mistake. But Simon says there is. He shows up unannounced on the doorstep of Melanie’s house and she gets a second chance it seems. She will be finalist #17!
Who’s your prediction from these 17 to go all the way to the top? If Josh can keep it up, I think he has it in the bag! But then there is Rachel, Stacy and so much great talent!
They get to sing live next time. Who are you rooting for? We have to wait a whole week to find out!
