Last night on The Voice we reached the third of six Elimination Shows. The artists who receives the most viewer votes on Teams Blake and Christina from the previous night’s Quarterfinal Performance Show, were saved and guaranteed a spot in the Semifinals. One member of Blake and Christina’s teams was eliminated.
There was also a clip from Justin Bieber’s new video and latest hit single, “Boyfriend” and a guest performance by The Wanted with Team Blake singing “Chasing The Sun.”
So here’s how the results went after America voted:
On Team Christina Chris Mann was safe, leaving Ashley De La Rosa and Lindsey Pavao singing their last chance songs.
On Team Blake Jermaine Paul was safe, leaving RaeLynn and Erin Willett having to perform their last chance songs for a chance to stay in the game.
In the last chance performances, Ashley De La Rosa sang first for Team Christina, with “You and I” by Lady Gaga. The audience loved it and so did the judges. Adam said “I still would say regardless of this performance I’d keep you around. You were amazing.” Ashley also won Blake over.
Lindsey Pavao sang “Please Don’t Go” by Mike Posner next and I like how she did her own thing on it. Blake picked up on the fact that“there’s something about Lyndsey that draws you into her.”
After Justin Bieber arrived on stage and we were treated to a little of “boyfriend,” it was time for an elimination.
Christina agonized over who to boot, and even cried, but eventually she eliminated Ashley.
For Team Blake we had Erin vs. Raelynn.
Erin Willett sang “Proud Mary,” and I wasn’t wild about it. It did have energy and spirit, though, which Christina complimented her on. Next, RaeLynn sang “If I Die Young.” Adam “I would’ve done a lot of things differently” and so would I. But she won’t get another chance as RaeLynn was eliminated from The Voice and Erin was saved.
What do you think to the judges’ decisions last night?
