Things got very tense on Monday night’s “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” as Brandi Glanville called a face-to-face meeting with waitress Scheana Marie, with whom Eddie Cibrian cheated on her during their marriage (among others, Leann Rimes.)
The pow-wow was all Lisa Vanderpump’s idea to put to bed lingering resentment between her BFF and one of her waitresses.
A “shaking” and contrite Scheana opened the conversation by telling Brandi (40),
“I just have so much I need to get off my chest with you.”
But Brandi, who has two sons with Eddie, was not in a mood to make the younger woman feel any better. She seems to be unmoved by Scheana’s adamant avowal that she had no idea Eddie was married when they had their affair.
“Don’t cry, really — I lost my family,” Brandi told Scheana. “I lost everything that I had. So if anyone’s going to cry here it’s not going to be you.”
Wronged women everywhere must have been cheering her on.
Scheana didn’t know when to quit. She went on to tell Brandi that her affair with Eddie was more than just hook-ups; he’d bought her jewelry, helped her move into her apartment (during which time he met Scheana’s mother) and even brought her along on his vacations. That had Brandi raging:
“I know that you were f*cking my husband, I get that!”
She also called the waitress a “starf*cker” and a “hooker” in a pre-taped clip prior to their tense meeting.
At one point, Brandi got really personal with Scheana, telling the waitress,
“Look at where you are in your life and I’m in such a better place – I win – You know what I mean.”
Brandi also pointed out that Scheana need not think she was special. Cibrian cheated with other women as well during their marriage. But she accepted the waitress’ apology and wished her luck in the future, even gently patting her on the back as she left the restaurant. I don’t know how that make things look any better to Brandi but I have to admit a certain admiration for her parting dig about actor Eddie Cibrian and his repeated lies to her: “the kid can’t act.”
Lisa Vanderpump was keen to take credit for the conciliation meeting on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” with Andy Cohen. She said she felt that the emotional episode showed viewers there’s more to Brandi than cat fights and Twitter wars.
“I feel that Brandi has this other side, and we haven’t really seen that part of her. I think tonight, we really saw the whole picture of Brandi, of how much she loves her children…she was dignified.”
“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” airs on Bravo Mondays at 9/8c.
