‘The Bachelor’s’ Ben and Courtney Come Under Scrutiny Again

Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson of “The Bachelor” are coming under scrutiny again. It seemed as though the couple got a bit of a break from the bad rumors surrounding their relationship, but in a new special with In Touch magazine, there’s speculations swirling that Ben and Courtney are together mostly for the money instead of true love. Like many celebrities, the two are making money by appearing at various events. Not long ago they fetched $125,000 for a romantic photo session and they were hosts at a Vegas party for $25,000. Finding a partner on reality television can pay well, it seems.

“Ben and Courtney seem disconnected,” a source tells In Touch. “I’ll be shocked if they ever make it down the aisle.”

Is this an accurate statement considering both of them are working hard to stay together? When “The Bachelor” ended in March, it was rumored Ben was going to dump Courtney for good. When they both showed up on “After the Final Rose,” they pledged their love once again for one another after the bad times they had back in February. Ben didn’t want to let Courtney go again. He knew what it was like without her before and didn’t want to repeat that mistake. He admitted when he broke up with her he was under intense pressure after watching her unacceptable behavior on-screen while “The Bachelor” was airing. He let what the media reported eat him up and he reacted –only to regret it soon after. Everyone in some form or fashion can relate to drastic decisions while under duress. Ben felt a strong connection to Courtney from the very beginning, but viewers saw a selfish, self-serving, mean-spirited woman who had little regard for others’ feelings. Obviously her fiance has looked past that and has forgiven her wholeheartedly.

Will Ben and Courtney get married or are they in it just for padding their bank account?
