‘The Bachelorette’ Spoilers: Men Tell All Special

I have to hold my hands up to this one: I got Emily Maynard’s final two guys wrong. Her upset over Arie having previously dated one of the show’s producers wasn’t enough to make her dump someone she obviously has a strong connection with.

So it’s Arie and Jef in the Finale with a very surprised Sean being eliminated. I was just as blindsided as Sean, right up to seeing Emily and Arie frolicking in the hot tub. It was at that point that it looked like there was such incredible chemistry between Arie and Emily that she didn’t even give him the test she had given the other two guys: asking whether they want to stay the night with the young mom in the Fantasy Suite. Jef and Sean were gentlemen and respectfully declined. So we will never know what Arie would have said, given the same choice.

So with his (second?) unfair advantage, Arie went forward into the finale with Jef.

But all the guys are back on Monday, for ‘The Bachelorette: Men Tell All’ Special.

It was taped on July 8 in LA and as you might expect, Emily Maynard looked pretty fine in another little pink number.

She didn’t hold back in her comments, especially to the guys who had annoyed her this season.

Kalon, who infamously referred to Emily’s daughter, Ricki, as ‘baggage’ didn’t get much of a chance to apologize. Which is OK, because he didn’t make much of an apology. Emily wasn’t impressed and I doubt any of us will be, either.

Ryan may have been a controversial character at times, but mostly the guys supported him in the ‘Men Tell All’ special. He was accused by one of them of doing the show for himself, which seems stupid to me and he had no trouble coming back with an answer of:

‘Well, yeah. Of course I did it for myself. I went on it to find love and if I find it, I’m half of that couple.’

Not surprisingly, but to the other guys’ credit, a lot of them agreed they’d done it for the same reason. Of course they did! It wasn’t to save Emily Maynard from a life of loneliness, was it!

So there was certainly drama but apparently not a lot of bad feeling. They guys all hit the bar together afterward.
