It may disappoint fans of the couple who became engaged on the season finale of the ABC show on Monday night. Rosenbaum popped the question with a $60,000 ring in Fiji. Ashley accepted. And we hoped to continue watching the fairytale unfold.
But we may be disappointed. On a recent press call, dental student Ashley said:
“I don’t think you’ll be seeing us on TV unless you TiVo-ed those episodes!”
Ashley Hebert and JP Rosenbaum had to keep quiet about their romance while the show was airing so they did not to spoil the ending for fans. But they made their first public appearance as a couple on Monday’s “After the Final Rose” special.
One of the few TV interviews The Bachelorette couple has given together was on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” You can see a clip below.
Construction manager Rosenbaum said he hoped their first date would be ordering something in and sitting on the couch and watching TV. He said the couple hasn’t even thought about their first date in public yet. “Coffee, brunch somewhere, dinner…” is most likely, to which fiancée Ashley Hebert chimed in
“A jog in the park perhaps?”
The newly-engaged couple were also asked if they would follow in the footsteps of “The Bachelor” couple Jason and Molly Mesnick or “The Bachelorette” Trista and Ryan Sutter and televise their wedding. Rosenbaum replied that we wouldn’t have to wait years for the wedding, but that aside from joking about televising the ceremony, they hadn’t thought seriously about it yet.
Hebert admitted that she is looking forward to leaving the spotlight and returning to “normal life” with Rosenbaum in New York, where she is planning to buy a property with him and move in together.
