‘The Bachelorette’ 2013: Which of Desiree Hartsock’s Contestants has a Criminal Record?

“The Bachelorette” 2013 will air episode 2 Monday night and some news has emerged that one of Desiree Hartsock’s 19 remaining contestants has a criminal record. In every season of “The Bachelor” or “The Bachelorette,” there seems to be someone with a questionable past appearing on the ABC hit shows.  One thing is for sure, if anyone chooses to go on these shows, they can count on someone digging up some dirt on them — whether it’s exes showing up out of the woodwork or news they’ve been in trouble with the law. With that said, who’s the “The Bachelorette” 2013 contestant with a criminal history?

It was reported by RadarOnline that in 2005, Brandon Andreen called in a bomb threat to a GM plant. The report said Brandon “placed a phone call to a GM plant in Wisconsin and identified himself as an FBI agent, telling a worker that there was a briefcase with a ‘highly explosive device’ in an elevator shaft.”

Luckily for “The Bachelorette” contestant, Brandon struck a deal that downgraded his felony into a misdemeanor with a $1,000 fine.

Given the sensitivity of calling in bomb threats, this sounds like a horrific crime by today’s standards. Even as recent as 2005, prank phone calls weren’t as alarming as they are now. The Boston Marathon bombing along with the various bomb threats making headlines nationwide has changed that perception. “The Bachelorette” contestant was meaning it as a light-hearted joke at the time, whereas now it wouldn’t be funny to anyone at all.

Episode 2 of “The Bachelorette” 2013 airs Mon., June 3 on ABC at 8 p.m., ET/PT.
