“The Bachelorette” 2012 begins airing next Monday and now some dirt is starting to surface on the contestants. Every season someone has a criminal record and season 8 of the show is no different. One contestant in particular is Joe Gendreau. The 25-year-old was found guilty of a misdemeanor that happened in September 2008. He was arrested for driving under the influence in Florida. In a separate incident that same year he ran a red light. In 2005 Gendreau was charged for urinating in public. Will he offer any of this up to Emily Maynard during or after the meet and greet for the first episode? Probably not. Why would he? Could be a valid question considering a number of past contestants on the show admitted some pretty insane things. On Ali Fedotowsky’s season a contestant told her he didn’t last long in bed.
What else is there to know about Joe Gendreau? He’s a Field Energy Advisor in Los Angeles. He’s originally from Orlando, Florida and one of the lucky 25 guys vying for Emily’s heart.
When asked by ABC if he’s a city or country boy, Gendreau responded:
“I can do both. I drive a truck and own cowboy boots and a hat. I hunt fish and am from the south. But I also can get dressed up and hit the city for a night out on the town.”
What does he love to see from a date with a girl?
“Is smiling contagiously. If she’s happy, I’m happy,” he said.
As for perfect happiness, Joe Gendreau knows what he wants.
“Having no regrets, not worrying about money and having the best life partner in the whole world!!!” he told ABC.
How impressed will Emily be with Joe on “The Bachelorette” 2012?
Fans can watch the show when it premieres on ABC Monday, May 14th at 8:30 p.m., ET/PT.
