‘The Bachelorette’ 2012: Emily Maynard Responds To Brad Womack’s ‘Dodged A Bullet’ Slam

When Emily Maynard and Brad Womack, the former ‘Bachelor’ who picked her out, split, Brad was reported as saying he “dodged a bullet” by ending his relationship with Emily, who s is now on our TV screens as the latest ‘Bachelorette.’

Owch! Or was it? Emily is adamant that her ex-fiance didn’t intend to insult her with those words.

Speaking to Access Hollywood, Emily Maynard said,

‘At first, my feelings were really hurt, because we left everything very civil and I’ve never said a bad word about him. But, knowing Brad, he didn’t mean it that way.’

So in other words, we have misunderstood Brad Womack.

Emily has admitted that she is ‘pretty conservative’ but will not let that stop her doing her best to find love on the reality TV show.

‘So, if you can’t make out with a bunch of guys when you’re “The Bachelorette,” when can you?’

But that said, Emily wanted to focus on romance rather than sex on her season.

‘I wanted it to be like romance and I don’t know, just more of a real life love instead of all this like, drama and just sex and all that. I wanted it to be sweeter,’ Emily said.

Has she succeeded in her wish?

‘The Bachelorette’ airs Mondays at 8/7c on ABC.
