The Bachelor Season 16: Casey Shteamer Was Not Kicked Off!

Chris Harrison, the host of The Bachelor dating show, has insisted that Casey Shteamer was not just kicked off the show. She could have chose to fight for her place, but she didn’t.

In the last episode of The Bachelor season 16 (February 6), Harrisonconfronted Casey about claims that she was still in love with an ex-boyfriend. That prompted Casey to reveal that the couple had split because he was not ready for marriage, but she still had feelings for him.

When Casey explained everything to Ben Flajnik, he suggested that she leave the show (which was filming inPanama at the time) if she was not over her previous relationship.

That’s pretty much how we reported it to you, I think, but it seems that some people are blaming The Bachelor production team for giving Casey the boot. But what really went down was a pretty amicable conversation about Casey’s future, Harrison said.

“If Casey S. had said to me, ‘Chris, you’re wrong. I am head over heels in love with Ben. I don’t know what you heard. Yes, I was with this guy before the show, but right now, this is it. I love this guy and I’m not giving up my chance to fall in love!’ Then, case closed, and she would have been on the show and we would have never even talked to Ben,” he said.

According to Harrison, Courtney had her say and at the end of the conversation she came to the conclusion that it would be the right thing for her to leave The Bachelor.

Harrison admitted that the incident on last season’s The Bachelorette between Ashley Hebert and Bentley Williams, who wasn’t there for the right reasons, had influenced his decision to step in this time around.

He wishes he had done more to warn Ashley and protect her, so this time, with Courtney, he decided to take a more direct approach.

Do you think the right decision was made?
