‘The Bachelor’ 2013 Spoilers: Potential Violence Erupts on Week 8 Hometowns

“The Bachelor” 2013 has one of the most sincerest leads ever to be cast in Sean Lowe. He’s not one to over-dramatize anything or be someone viewers would typically see in a sticky situation. On Monday’s episode, however, he comes face-to-face with an unreasonable man while he’s in the middle of a hometown date with Desiree Hartsock.

According to an extended preview of the Feb. 18 episode People magazine released, Desiree’s ex-boyfriend comes to her house as she and Sean are making dinner. At first, Sean believes it must be Desiree’s brother or something. He’s confused by how surprised Desiree is this guy is there.

Desiree’s ex demands to know where she’s been and what she sees in the “actor” (referring to Sean) she has in her home. Sean isn’t happy about the confrontation one single bit, but handles it calmly.

Here’s a spoilers excerpt People revealed:

Ex: Des, I love you, OK?
Sean: Whoa.
Ex: I’ve been texting, calling, where they hell have you been?
Des: [Gestures toward Sean] “I’ve been busy.
Ex: We’re together for two years and all of a sudden, just nothing? I love you more than anything.
Sean: I’m thinking, ‘Maybe I just need to leave.’
Ex: You’re going to be with this actor? This isn’t real.
Sean: First of all, I’m standing right here. You want to talk to me, talk to me … [To Des]: Do you want to talk to him? [To Ex]: Then leave please.
Ex: Can you give us a minute?
Sean: Don’t put your hands on me …

In the sequence of events happening, the camera focused on Sean’s fist — appearing to be ready in case things turned violent. The scene actually comes off a bit fake. Desiree’s ex is seen glancing at the camera and it doesn’t feel “real.” Did her ex-boyfriend want his own 15 minutes of fame by getting on “The Bachelor”? Obviously producers were more than alright with him showing up. It did them a favor by adding more drama to the show.

Find out what happens when the hometown dates of “The Bachelor” 2013 air Monday, Feb. 18 on ABC at 8 p.m., ET/PT.
