Taylor Swift Expresses Her Mature Side with Vintage Style While Dating a Kennedy

Taylor Swift is expressing her more mature side — fashion-wise — while she dates a member of the Kennedy family.  The singer’s vintage, yet classic styles, have been especially evident since her romance with Conor Kennedy began.

On Friday the Taylor, 22, basked in the sun wearing a high-waisted red polka-dot bikini as she held hands with Conor, 18, in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The two were wading through water with close friends. Conor wore mesh basketball shorts and boxers alongside his sweetheart.

In another fashion statement Taylor made during an outing with Conor, she wore a navy blue polka-dotted blouse with short sleeves and red shorts. She had on a red polka-dotted headband and red neck accessory that set off the whole look — in addition to her brown flats and brown purse. Her style was simple, elegant, and classic….a charm all of the Kennedy women possess.

Last week Taylor Swift debuted her new single, We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together. She’s making headlines for her blossoming romance as well as her latest album. With the young star’s fashion choices, she’s expressing a maturity beyond her years. Is it a new trend Taylor is setting and will resonate with as long as she’s linked to a Kennedy?

In case anyone is confused as to who Conor Kennedy is in relation to the famous members of the family, he is the son of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.  — who is President John F. Kennedy’s nephew. He is also Patrick Schwarzenegger’s second cousin.

Ethel Kennedy, who is the family’s matriarch, adores Taylor Swift and thinks she’s perfect for Conor. On August 1 at the Television Critics Association panel in Beverly Hills, she was asked if she would like to see the Grammy-award winning singer become part of the family and she replied, “We should be so lucky!”
