Taylor Armstrong revealed on Monday the bombshell revelation that she believes Russell Armstrong might have killed her, and even their young daughter, Kennedy, if she wasn’t a member of the cast of The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills.
She had suffered six years of domestic abuse at the hands of her late husband, Russell Armstrong. Had she not been in the public eye and on TV screens regularly, due to her part in the Bravo TV show, she feels his violence may have escalated to the point that he would have murdered her.
“If cameras were not in my life, there’s a good chance I wouldn’t be sitting here today,” Armstrong told KTLA-TV in Los Angeles, noting she could have died as a result of murder or murder-suicide.
Armstrong said if the show wasn’t being filmed, it is quite possible Russell’s violent outbursts could also have involved their 5-year-old daughter, Kennedy. She says she is grateful for her survival so she is here to take care of her daughter.
Armstrong said she feels she pursued a spot on the show “subconsciously” to allow her domestic abuse problems to be in the public eye.
“I was handed a very specific mission, by the grace of God, through a tragedy,”Armstrong said.
Russell (47) was found dead having hanged himself at a Mulholland Drive house of a friend on August 15. He is survived by wife Taylor and three kids: son Aiden (with ex-wife Barbara Fredrickson); son Griffin (with former fiancée Milette Fields) and daughter Kennedy (with Taylor).
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on Bravo Mondays at 9/8c.
