Taylor Armstrong to Dr. Drew “I Feel Like A Scared Little Girl”

Taylor Armstrong talked to Dr. Drew’s HLN show about the aftermath of her abusive marriage and estranged husband’s subsequent suicide. The show will air tonight.

In talking with the TV doctor, Taylor admitted that she feels like a “scared little girl” because of the abuse she suffered and everything that has happened since Russell Armstrong’s suicide back in August last year.

Tayloris appearing on the show as part of the promotion campaign for her memoir, written after Russell hanged himself last summer. She told Dr. Drew she has been abused her whole life and is struggling emotionally these days because of it. She said she feels like crying most of the time.

In response to that, Dr. Drew toldTaylor, “I see a scared little girl: would that describe it?”

Taylor agreed but said she will not give in to a fear but pushed further by Dr. Drew, Taylor put a name to the frightened little girl inside her. Perhaps unimaginatively (well, he didn’t give her long to make up a name) Taylor said she is called Shana.

Shana is Taylor Armstrong’s birth name.

Call it cruel of me but I had to stifle a chuckle as Taylor(or is it Shana?) admitted “It’s not really helping,” when the TV doctor urged her to bring the two parts of herself together, the Shana and the Taylor, to stop compartmentalizing herself.

Dr. Drew, urging to show her vulnerable side to her fellow Real Housewives, some of whom had also been abused, seemed to liken appearing on reality TV to a position of being abused.

“People get resentful when you don’t give them access to your real person. You have a pattern of putting yourself in abusive situations and this is no different – this is another one. Taylor’s memoir, Hiding from Reality: My Story of Love, Loss, and Finding the Courage Within, is in stores now. How much of Taylor Armstrong’s “real person” will we get to see in it, do you think?

Taylor Armstrong’s interview with Dr. Drew airs  tonight) Thursday at 9/8c on HLN.

Dr. Drew, I feel very sorry for Russell Armstrong’s supposedly suicide, however, I don’t believe Ms. Armstrong at all. I believe she manipulated and lied regarding his behavior, his abuse and believe that she wanted to live a lifestyle that put emotional and physical stress on the man to keep up. I noticed her daughter’s behavior on the show segments and appears to be a very spoiled little girl, as her mother. If anyone was in the financial difficulties they were in, I don’t believe she would have been spending the amount of monies on birthday parties, etc. I also feel that writing a book so soon was disrespectful to her child and to herself. I too believe that the medical records will also coincide with her plastic surgeries. I will not purchase her book and hope other will not. There are already books by professionals and other women who have truly been through abuses. I believe she fabricated these stories for fame and fortune and believe she told the other women on the show for sympathy. She has truly pschological problems. SORRY DON’T BUY THE STORY!

Dr. Drew must have had a slow day to interview this lying, manipulating, money grubbing, piece of crap. Dr. Drew doesn’t have the balls to call her out and ask her the hard questions, just pussy foots around her, enabling and comforting this poor “victim”. Either Dr. Drew is stupid or Taylor held a gun to his head. Won’t watch Dr. Drew again. I didn’t watch her on Dr. Phil either. I would like to see Nancy Grace interview her.
