As we reported earlier, the death threats, issued via Twitter on January 29, made specific threats against Taylor Armstrong and her young daughter Kennedy.
Someone calling themselves @Hardboiledpeggs which Tweeted,
“see u on February 7 ill be there with a book and a rope so i can kidnap u” (sic.)
Taylor shot back at her hater, telling them not to contact her again. But a second death threat came from the same account.
The next ominous message mentioned Taylor’s young daughter, Kennedy:
“Turn around bright eyes every now and then, Kennedy’s dead.”
Taylor replied once again with “Don’t ever contact me again.”
The Twitter user @hardboiledpeggs has since been deleted but the investigation passed to the FBI. It was taken so seriously because of the specific nature of the threat. Taylor Armstrong has a book signing event scheduled on February 7 in New Jersey, and security at the event has now been increased.
It apparently didn’t take the FBI long to figure out who was making the death threats. They established it was a teenage girl that lives in New Jersey.
“The teenager appears to suffer from mental health issues,” a law enforcement source reported.
There is no word yet on whether there will be criminal proceedings as a result of the death threats.
Of course, Taylor was disturbed to find out the threat came from someone actually living in New Jersey, where the threats were related to, and where she has a book signing.
It’s been a pretty bad year for Taylor, after her husband, Russell Armstrong, committed suicide last summer. Taylor’s new memoir details the physical and verbal abuse she endured at the hands of Russell. Hiding from Reality: My Story of Love, Loss, and Finding the Courage Within, goes on sale February 7.
