On January 29, @Hardboiledpeggs sent Taylor Armstrong a Tweet which said, “see u on February 7 ill be there with a book and a rope so i can kidnap u.” That is the date of a book signing event she is attending in New Jersey for her new memoir.
Taylor told this person to never contact her again. But they did and the next person under threat was Taylor’s five-year-old daughter, Kennedy:
“Turn around bright eyes every now and then, Kennedy’s dead,” @hardboiledpeggs wrote.
The Twitter user @hardboiledpeggs has since been deleted. It is also understood that there will be increased security for the book signing.
Taylor (40) was not at home when she received the Twitter death threats. She was out of town skiing in Vail, Colorado. She was reported to be freaked out by what were seen as credible death threats.
Taylor’s new memoir, Hiding From Reality, details the violent beating she endured at the hands of her late husband Russell along with claims she was called names by him in front of her daughter, and that he secretly spied on her during their marriage.
A representative for Taylor Armstrong said she would now be reviewing her security arrangements.
“Her first concern when she got the threats was Kennedy, but her daughter is safe, and that is all that matters to Taylor. She will do whatever is necessary to protect herself and Kennedy.”
The files were handed over to the FBI and Taylor is said to be pressing for a full investigation, leading to the prosecution of the person who issued the death threats.
