“Kate Plus 8” Canceled!

The TLC reality show “Kate Plus 8” has been canceled. There will be no more regular series filmed or aired after the one currently showing at the moment. However, there may be some periodic one-off specials to show how the Gosselin kids grow.

“Kate Plus 8,” the spin off show from “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” has been cancelled due to poor viewing figures. Kate Gosselin had already been warned that this would happen if ratings did not improve. Well, it seems that they haven’t.

Kate Gosselin became an obsession with the American public. But lately the show was struggling and so TLC decided to pull the plug on it.

The cable network announced Monday, “By the end of this season ‘Kate Plus 8’ will have hit the 150 episode mark” (including ‘Jon & Kate Plus 8’ before the couple split up).

They called that “an exceptional milestone” and promised to check in with Kate Gosselin and her children from time to time with specials in the future.

But Kate Gosselin, a single mom with eight kids, has another reason to be unhappy. She just admitted in her reality TV show that she is lonely and does not like being single.

In the episode aired last night, Kate said,

“I miss having another parent here.” But she had to have a dig at her ex-husband Jon Gosselin and say, “Not the parent that was here.”

However, despite their very public and acrimonious split, Kate says she wouldn’t change any of it.

“I wouldn’t change my marriage because I have eight awesome kids that I wouldn’t change,” she said.

However, there clearly isn’t any lost between the ex-spouses. “People change and they’re not who you thought they were and if they’re not for you move on and I have,” she said.

Now Kate Gosselin will have to move on without being the star of “Kate Plus 8.”

Kate Gosselin Shoots for High Ratings in Australia

The new highly anticipated season of “Kate Plus 8” began last night as Kate Gosselin and her eight children headed to the Australian outback. The pressure is on as TV bosses have already warned her that the show will be axed if viewing figures fall below the 1 million mark and that would leave the former nurse looking fr a regular job: not easy as a single mom to eight young kids.

Her last season, with Sarah Palin, may be something she is keen to live down, as ratings started high but quickly fell. However, last night we saw an exciting start to the Gosselin family’s Australian adventure with New Years Eve fireworks, koala bears, and swimming with sharks.

She seemed keen to make a fresh start and face the great outdoors with cheerful enthusiasm, despite her previous breakdown in Alaska. That time she had Palin with her, though, so this could be a whole different story. Whether that is good or bad, you decide for yourselves.

Last night, the whole family appeared to be having a great time Down Under. There was even a friendly chat with ex-husband, Jon, upon landing in Australia. Kate seems confident, determined to cope alone, but a bit boring, this season.

“Kate Plus 8″ airs on Mondays at 10pm on TLC. The station believes in Kate Gosselin, giving her a season, instead of one-off specials this time – but if last night is anything to judge by, she will have to do something to liven things up and maintain her ratings.

Kate Gosselin turned 36 yesterday! Ms. Gosselin has packed a lot into her 36 years: twins, sextuplets, two reality TV shows (Kate and Jon Plus 8, then Kate Plus 8), a messy public divorce from husband, Jon, back in 2008 and a stint on Dancing With the Stars. Now, she feels ready to get back to the dating game. That could make for a very interesting season of the controversial mom’s hit reality TV show, Kate Plus 8, when it returns to our screens soon.

Kate got a bit of her head start on her birthday last week with a trip to NYC and dinner at the upscale restaurant, STK, in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District. She reportedly looked stunning in a black cocktail dress when she dined with friends and of course, the obligatory camera crew. She was seen to be chatting with a lot of guys but why not? She is single, after all! There has been much talk recently of Gosselin fronting a new dating game show, but that has not yet been confirmed and she seems more interested in her own dating game right now.

But her actual birthday was a quiet affair. Back home in Wernersville she took four of her children to the dentist: sextuplets, Hannah, Aaden, Colin and Lean. They all seemed happy, especially when they played in the park later.

Jon Gosselin’s Revealing Good Morning America Interview!

Jon Gosselin and his ex-wife, Kate, have been trying to deal with their divorce as amicably as possible for the sake of their children but the gloves are off now and the first round of this match goes to Jon Gosselin.
While Kate has remained diplomatic during her high profile interviews, refraining from publicly criticizing her former husband and his out of control behaviour, Jon has decided to spice things up a little – and all bets were off during his interview with Good Morning America this week.
Jon’s interview is making headlines all over the world as he reveals to millions of viewers that he “despises” Kate, “can’t trust her,” and is certain she stole his wedding ring.
When asked how he feels about Kate now that the dust has settled from news of their divorce, Jon said the following:
“… I don’t trust her anymore. I was abused … I was beaten down … I’m not going back to that life style. She knows the truth. I wish to God, she would speak from emotions … She’s not speaking from the heart. Please — the stuff you tell me in private should be the stuff you tell me on TV.”
And how exactly did the 32-year-old father-of-eight feel after he finally mustered the courage to stand up to his wife?
“In 10 years, I’ve never gone out … When she said, ‘I don’t want you going out,’ I … I used to say, ‘OK, I’m not going to go out.’ I was very passive. This is the first time I said, ‘You know what? I want to see my friends. I’m going out. That was the first time in my life I ever stood up to Kate … I just felt like I had to take back some time in my life, and I did it. And I felt really good.
“I made my own decision … I was beaten down for so long, I couldn’t even make my own decision. And when I did, I was like, holy cow! You know? Yeah, what’s she gonna do? Divorce me? All right. Obviously. You know.”
As for rumors that Jon thinks Kate stole his wedding ring – those definitely aren’t just rumors.
When asked why he thinks Kate still wears her wedding ring, Jon replied by saying he thinks she wears it “for public perception” and insisted that he no longer has a ring because Kate took his.
“I don’t wear my ring because she took my ring…I don’t have a ring, so, I laid it down one day and it was gone. Who else would take it?”
And finally, when asked if his relationship could ever be fixed, a very blunt Jon replied with “no our relationship will never be fixed.”

Jon Gosselin Steps and New Girlfriend Hailey Glassman!

It’s been less than a month since Jon and Kate Gosselin announced they were separating but three weeks seems to be just enough time for Jon to find a new girlfriend. The father of eight stepped out, hand-in-hand with his new girlfriend Hailey Glassman while on a date in France.

Fans of the show were shocked and disappointed to find out America’s favorite TV couple were divorcing but no one expected either party to strike up a new relationship so quickly.

For many months before the split, Jon was scrutinized in the media for spending alone time with Deanna Hummel but it appears he’s swapped one brunette for another.

Those of you who aren’t familiar with the show probably aren’t aware that Hailey Glassman is the daughter of Kate’s tummy-tuck surgeon and is a whopping 10-years younger than Jon.

The NY Daily News reported the following on Jon and Hailey’s very public date:

“An Ed Hardy-clad Gosselin and his 22-year-old new girlfriend were seen smoking cigarettes and holding hands while in the French Riviera, where they also took a ride on fashion designer Christian Audigier’s yacht.”

Speculation of a relationship between Glassman and Gosselin started when the two were seen together (with Hailey’s mom) on Memorial Day but Jon quickly shot down the rumors claiming the families were just “friendly.”

The couple holding hands in the photo above looks a little more than “friendly” if you ask us.
