Simon was interviewed leaving the ABC Kitchen in NYC last night after a dinner date with the other new “X Factor” judge Demi Lovato. He shrugged off concerns that Britney’s ongoing conservatorship hints at her continued mental instability. It doesn’t make Simon nervous at all, he said. He also expressed confidence in Demi, whom he is sure will pull in younger viewers.

But presumably he picked up the bill for dinner. It would be the only thing to do since Dem Lovato is allegedly only getting paid 1/15 of the $15 million dollar fee headed Britney’s way, despite the pulling power Cowell says he believes the young ex-Disney star has.

Simon may not be nervous about taking on Britney Spears, but Britney clearly is. At the announcement yesterday of the new ‘X Factor’ judging panel Britney was photographed with chewed fingernails and bloody cuticles. It seems she still has a battle with nail biting and tearing the skin on her cuticles when she is anxious. As far back as 2008 at least she has unsuccessfully been trying to kick this nervous habit.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Spears’ agent and fiancé Jason Trawick is currently negotiating the singer’s contract, and the deal could be made official as early as next week.

It has been claimed that Spears has been offered $10 million for her role as a judge on the show.

There have been numerous rumors about who would make up the new X Factor judging panel after judges Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul were axed last month. Britney Spears was just one of many celebrities linked to the vacancies.

Janet Jackson was also reportedly named as a possible choice, but is said to have declined an offer due to her busy touring schedule.

X Factor creator Simon Cowell said in a radio interview last month that he is “fascinated” by Spears and believes she would be perfect for The X Factor USA.

“I would think that if she’s managed to sustain in her family life a career which is tough, this is a walk in the park,” Cowell said, but he would not be drawn on whether he had actually approached Spears about judging the talent show.

Hoever, sources close to the show say that Spears is receiving media training in preparation for the show. She will be judging alongside Cowell and LA Reid.

The identity of the fourth X Factor judge has yet to be revealed, and Spears and Fox have not yet commented on her potential involvement with the show.

Auditions for the next season The X Factor USA are now underway.

There have been rumors even since before Britney Spears’ birthday that Jason Trawick is ready to pop the all important question to Britney. The two were spotted looking at engagement rings months ago.

Now sources close to the couple say that Trawick has chosen the diamond ring and had it delivered. He is expected to propose to her any day now, which Christmas coming close.

Trawick accompanied Spears during the final stage of her Femme Fatale tour, so the singer’s former manager sent one of his pals in to pick up the ring that he selected for his girlfriend of several years a few months ago.

As the couple themselves said a while back, don’t expect the engagement ring to be massive or flashy. Apparently according to the friend who picked up the ring from a swanky jewellers, the ring will be classy and under 4-carats.

A second close friend of the couple also said to expect the pair to be engaged by the end of the year. However, there may be a long engagement. Both Britney and Jason say that they are waiting to get married until several law suits against the singer are settled.

Britney and Jason took a break from her South American tour to visit an ice skating rink inHouston.

The couple held on to each others hands for balance. The singer and mom of two Britney appeared happy and relaxed, except she had to concentrate to stay upright on the ice.

Britney and Jason are rumored to be close to an engagement announcement after they had been spotted in several jewelry stores looking at rings. The couple met when they worked together five years ago. Back then, Spears was still married to Kevin Federline.

Spears has said in interviews that she made the first move, in 2009, and since then  their relationship has grown with Trawick taking on a father figure role to Britney’s two young sons. She says the boys look up to him and adore him.

The Oops!…I Did It Again singer is in Mexico to continue her Femme Fatale world tour.

“Gotta get on a plane now – see u tonight Mexico!” Spears excitedly tweeted yesterday.

She is staying in the country over her birthday, ready to do a free show this Sunday, which she also announced via Twitter.

Britney revealed that she is putting on the free show because she is grateful for all the love and support shown to herby her fans during her Femme Fatale tour. So, fans in Mexico will be treated to the Femme Fatale tour for free.

There is much speculation will also be celebrating her birthday with an engagement.

Boyfriend Jason Trawick has been spotted out and about, apparently shopping for an engagement ring. He’s not being mean with what he intends t pay either, searching for the perfect ring from everywhere from Tiffany to Harry Winston.

However, an insider warned fans not too expect anything too big or flashy in the ring. Apparently he is going for tasteful and understated. Does that sound like Britney Spears?

Happy birthday Britney, anyway. She should have a great little day in Mexico on a break from her Femme Fatal tour as Trawick has joined his girlfriend of two years on the road is expected to pop the question before they return to the US.

Just when things were looking better for Britney Spears, her former bodyguard who is suing the pop star for sexual harassment has made further damaging accusations against her. He says she “deliberately and recklessly” feeding her crabmeat, despite their life threatening allergies to seafood, Star magazine reported.

The article details further child abuse allegations against the Oops, I Did It Again star in the latest court papers filed by her former bodyguard Fernando Flores, who last year launched a $10 million sexual harassment suit.

“Despite the fact that Spears, Plaintiff (Flores) and the children’s nanny all knew that her two small sons had serious and even life threatening food allergies to seafood, Spears deliberately and recklessly fed her two sons crabmeat,” Flores wrote in the papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on September 6.

The incident allegedly occurred at the Mondrian Hotel in Hollywood, sometime between February and June last year.

Afterwards, when the boths vomited, the bodyguard wanted to seek medical attention for Sean Preston (6) and Jayden James (5), her sons y Kevin Federline. However, he alleges that Britney Spears told him to,

“Mind your own f-ing business!”

Upset by Flores’ intervention, Spears (29) was then said to have yelled,

“I’ll do it again if it bothers him so much; they’re my kids.”

Flores alleges that, Spears who has  custody of the boys despite being the sublect of a conservatoship, rarely supervised the boys and when she did, she seemed to favor Jayden.

In legal papers he submitted, he claimed the Femme Fatale star had shwed “concomitant neglect and even hostility towards” the older child Preston, but would then whisper to him, out of earshot of Jaydn, that Preston was her favorite.

Britney Spears is currently locked in a bitter court battle with her accuser, Flores, who worked for her for six months in 2010. He left her employ, claiming sexual harassment, after Spears allegedly bent over in a short nightie and bared all in front of him. When he rejected her advances, she allegedly became abusive, calling him a “f-ing f-got.”

The reality star and DJ performed several dates on Spears’ current world tour, in a DJ set ahead of her performance. He even got a great thank you in one concert: a lap dance from Britney Spears!

Speaking on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Pauly D said he and the Toxic star linked up in Las Vegas, where he had landed a residency to DJ at the Palms. Apparently they got on well from the start and she invited him to appear ontour with her.

“How can you say no to that?! A tour with Britney Spears! I said yes, I’d do it and it was probably one of the best things I’ve ever done. It was amazing,” said the Jersey Shore Season 4 star.

Pauly D also told Leno about his recent role DJing at the Kardashian’s Manhattan store Dash for Fashion’s Night Out, comparing it to a “mob scene” because of the amount of people who turned up.

But it is his association with “monsters” like Britney Spears that he says will ultimately legitimize his career as a top DJ.

Pauly D recently praised Spears, insisting that the singer’s new album was the best that she had ever made. You can see him in the MTV special which follows Britney Spears through the making of her seventh studio album, and includes behind-the-scenes footage of the record’s production.

Pauly D, who can currently be seen on our screens in “Jersey Shore Season 4,” must have felt like a very lucky boy in Montreal on Thursday. He opened up Britney Spears’ “Femme Fatale” show as the tour reached Montreal. He had been spinning tracks for her to warm up the crowd and he got a very special reward for his efforts.

Pauly D was called up on to stage for her performance of “Leather and Lace.”

You couldn’t keep the grin off his face as Pauly (31) was seduced with a bright pink feather boa and treated to a lap dance by a flirtatious and sultry Britney (29). She even climbed up on his shoulders while he was handcuffed to a stripper pole.

Of course, “Jersey Shore Season 4” star Pauly D couldn’t wait to Tweet the news.

“Wow Just Got A Lap Dance On Stage From @britneySpears !!!!!!” Pauly Tweeted after the show. He later posted a photo of he and Britney on stage with the caption, “Yup That Did Happen LOL.”

The ban came after the star, who has sons Sean Preston (5) and Jayden James (4), with ex-husband Kevin Federline, was accused by her former bodyguard Fernando Flores of sending him nude pictures of herself from her phone, and then threatened to use them in a lawsuit against her.
