Sylvester Stallone’s Son Found Dead At Home, Suspected Overdose

The eldest son of Sylvester Stallone has been found dead at his LA home. No cause of death has officially been confirmed yet but reports say there were empty prescription pill bottles around the body.

Authorities were investigating the death of Sage Moonblood Stallone (36) after his body was found at his Hollywood home.

Police said there was no sign of forced entry or foul play.

“Sylvester Stallone is devastated and grief-stricken over the sudden loss of his son,” his publicist Michelle Bega said in a statement.

“His compassion and thoughts are with Sage’s mother, Sasha.”

Los Angeles police spokesman Lieutenant Andy Neiman said police found Sage Stallone’s body after being called to his home after a housekeeper found his body on Friday afternoon.

Friends had become concerned because they had not heard from Stallone in the past day, Mr Braunstein said.

Sage Stallone, who co-starred with his father in two films, was the eldest of Sylvester Stallone’s two sons with first wife Sasha Czack.

He made his acting debut in 1990s movie ‘Rocky V’ and also appeared with his father in 1996′s ‘Daylight.’ The same year, Sage Stallone and veteran film editor Bob Murawski co-founded Grindhouse Releasing, a company dedicated to preserving and promoting the B-movies and exploitation films of the 1970s and 80s.

Sage Stallone also directed the 2006 short Vic, which screened at the Palm Springs Film Festival.

Mr Braunstein said Sage Stallone was planning on getting married for the first time, and had frequent requests to work on films.

There was no suicide note found with the body but there were “numerous empty pill bottles” in the area where Sage’s body was discovered, according to law enforcement officials. We don’t yet know what kind of medications were contained in them but an autopsy is scheduled for some time in the next 48 hours.
