On December 28, 2010, on the top floor of the Women’s Hospital at Centennial in Nashville, Tennessee, USA a healthy baby girl was delivered via surrogate to Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban. The couple rented the entire top floor to ensure their privacy for their baby and her birth mother. Miss Faith Margaret Kidman Urban joins her older sister Sunday Rose, as the apple of her parents’ eyes.
Nicole Kidman, 43, who suffered two debilitating miscarriages while still married to Tom Cruise, struggled to conceive Sunday. Nicole and Keith repeatedly expressed a desire to expand their family, and feel ‘truly blessed’ to have their new baby, Faith. Although both mom and dad are Aussie natives, the couple chose to undergo their surrogate pregnancy in Nashville, where they feel their fame is significantly lower key than their home country, where they often find themselves in ‘the public fishbowl’. Faith, whose first name reflects the couple’s ‘faith they’d have another child together’, also has two older siblings, Isabella, 18 and Conner Cruise, 15.
The mega-celebrity couple was able to maintain their secrecy until after the Golden Globes, when Nicole was nominated for best performance by an actress in a dramatic motion picture, when they announced their new addition. No pictures of baby Faith were published in their ‘People’ magazine exclusive, but we all await the photographic début of the newest star in the Kidman/Urban family. We wish the new family health, happiness and as much sleep as possible!
