Snooki Throws Down At Wrestlemania XXVII

Snooki flashed an impressive handspring move and secured victory with a pin-fall over Michelle McCool in her wrestling on Sunday at WWE’s Wrestlemania XXVII in Atlanta. She showed some good moves and left her critics, and sometimes the commentator, lost for words.

The contest matched the “Jersey Shore” star, John Morrison and Trish Stratus to take on Dolph Ziggler, Layla and McCool. It looked like it would be a massacre and Snooki would be made hamburger meat, especially when she cited her preparation for the bout as, “I was a gymnast for eight years, a cheerleader since middle school. That’s pretty much the skills you need to do wrestling.” But her doubters were proved wrong this past weekend.

Snooki’s tag amazed the legendary wrestling commentator, Jim Ross. She flipped and cartwheeled her way into the ring wearing a shirt that read “Brunette Mafia,” and perfectly landed a cartwheel-body splash on McCool (wife of wrestling legend The Undertaker) to clinch the victory. As she won the match with a hook of the leg, Ross gushed,

“We might be on the verge of Snooki-mania!”

It certainly could, because Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi has hinted that she might think about signing up full-time with the WWE if she ever had the chance. Snooki (Nicole Polizzi) isn’t the only “Jersey Shore” star to step into the ring in recent months. Angelina Pivarnick is currently competing in TNA Wrestling, while J-Woww has appeared on the company’s weekly TV show “TNA iMPACT!”. It seems there is life after reality TV!
