Sex and the City Returning To TV?

“Sex and the City is rumored to be returning to TV screens following a largely negative reaction to the second movie. Sarah Jessica Parker is said to be in favor of a move to the small screen.

So, we may get a report to our TV screens of Carrie, Samantha and the others.

Reports state that stars of the show such as Sarah Jessica Parker are keen to appear in a small screen continuation of the popular series. Producers have apparently met to discuss a possible future for the “Sex and the City” franchise and agree that it would be best on the small screen, not at the cinema.

The idea to possibly continue making “Sex and the City” as a TV serial follows the strong criticism of the second “Sex and the City” movie.

The movie was heavily criticized for its negative portrayal of the Middle East.

An industry insider said that a new series of another TV show of “Sex and the City” was “definitely something [Jessica Parker] wants to happen.”

However, there will also be a third “Sex and the City” big screen installment. Plans are already in place for a movie about the early lives of the show’s characters, with Elizabeth Olsen reportedly playing Carrie and Blake Lively to star as Samantha.

However, it is thought that the new TV series may happen before that hits the big screen.

Your thoughts on the important “Sex and the City” question? Do you want to see another movie or is it best left to the small screen? Are you tired of the whole lot of them anyway?

One Response to “Sex and the City Returning To TV?”

Please please bring sex and the city back! I never watched when it first started but eventually got intensely hooked on it thru reruns, and the movies. I literally watch it every day on E! I’m a 34 year old stay home mother and I feel like Sex and the City is my only touch of the glam life! I was a retail manager for 10 years, so I love fashion, love my gays, and feel like I have a connection with every character on the show. I would also like to think I share this connection with tons of other women, whether working professionals, or stay home mommies! Some new shows that come out are definitely trying to live up to Sex and the City standards, but are either too juvenile, or just dumb! Nothing else put there can hold the 30 something woman’s attention. So seriously, please bring our girls back! It will never be old or played out! Thank you, Sincerely Jena Candelore
