More details have emerged regarding the suicide of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Taylor Armstrong’s husband, Russell. Taylor was the one to find her husband’s body, hanging in the bedroom of his best friend’s house on Mulholland Drive.
Taylor Armstrong had filed for divorce from Russell on July 15, but she saw him regularly. That was why she became concerned when she had not heard from him for several days.
Taylor (40) and her assistant went to the Mulholland Drive house to check on him but found him dead in the bedroom of the property. The LAPD says that 47-year-old Russell hanged himself and he was pronounced dead at 8:16 pm on Monday.
Preliminary autopsy results have confirmed death by hanging. However, toxicology results will take a few weeks yet. No drugs were fund at the property.
Russell Armstrong was reportedly devastated by the divorce and had struggled to come to terms with his reality TV success. But he was also facing a whole raft of other issues at the time of his suicide.
Russell was concerned that Taylor was writing a tell-all book that would reveal that he was bisexual and had sexual preferences which included S&M practices such as choking, rough-housing and slapping.
The source says that Taylor found gay websites that her husband had been searching on his computer and she suspected that he was meeting men at the gym that he’d met on the website.
“Taylor Armstrong is devastated at the tragic events that have unfolded,” her rep says.
The new season of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” is set to air on September 5.
There is no word yet from Bravo on how they will address this terrible tragedy; however, they have released a statement saying they are deeply saddened.
