Russell Armstrong’s Mom Warns Bravo: No Airing Footage of My Son

John Anne Hotchkiss, mother of the late reality TV star Russell Armstrong who recently committed suicide, has warned Bravo TV not to air any footage of her son in the upcoming season of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” or else.

Ms. Hotchkiss issued a stern warning to TV bosses during an interview with CNN HLN’s Jane Velez-Mitchell. She said that her family were “circling the wagon” to protect the memory of her son.

As Celebrity News and Style previously reported to you, Russell Armstrong, the estranged husband of “Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills” star, Taylor Armstrong, was found dead on Monday night at his best friend’s home. He had hanged himself.

The family of Russell Armstrong are adamant that it was the pressures caused by the reality TV show and specifically the Bravo network that caused his suicide. His step-brother, Wade Jackson, said they may even still sue the TV network.

“Bravo is at fault and somebody needs to pay,” Jackson said in an exclusive interview with Radar Online. “Russell’s whole family was very close and they’re considering suing Bravo.”

But blaming Bravo TV solely for the suicide avoids talk of the fact that Russell was in massive financial trouble, possibly about to be declared bankrupt, and definitely about to be divorced. It also does not address his worries that the high profile husband and father was about to be outed as bisexual with a preference for S&M sex, including choking and slapping.

Bravo held crisis talks about how to deal with footage of Russell Armstrong for the next season of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” but despite his mother’s threats, no decisions have yet been made. On signing up for the show, Russell Knew he was signing away his rights to control over how he was portrayed.

However, program bosses have decided to delay the premiere of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” by at least a week. It seems unlikely, though, that the season will be completely scrapped, as certain members of Russell Armstrong’s family would prefer.

How do you think Bravo should deal with footage of Russell Armstrong in the upcoming season of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”?
