Robbie Williams To Marry His Swiss Army Knife

It appears set to be quite a week for Robbie Williams. Not only have details emerged of his long anticipated reunion with former band mates Take That, he is also set to marry on Saturday August 7th. His long-term girlfriend, American actress Ayda Field is so important to him that he has nicknamed her his ‘Swiss Army knife’!

The ceremony is said to be planned as an intimate affair, with not even Robbie’s Take That partners in attendance. For some, this is a little suspicious. Will the wedding take place or is it just a publicity stunt? What do you think?

The official version has it that Robbie (36) and 31 year old American actress Ayda Field will marry this weekend on the beautiful island of Santa Catalina, off the California coast. The couple have been an item since 2006. Best man will be actor Jonathon Wilkes, a long time pal of Williams.

However, missing from the celebrations will be Williams’ Take That band mates – Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Jason Orange and Howard Donald. All of them are said to be on vacation right now. So what is it – bad timing, the band’s reunion not as happy as they would like us to think, or are we being duped over a Robbie Williams’ wedding that will break millions of female fans’ hearts?

One thing that does seem genuine is the love that Robbie and Ayda have for each other. The couple are almost inseparable, spending every waking moment – and a good proportion of their nights – together. Few details of the ceremony have emerged and the guest list will be small and select. However, the couple will manage a 2-week holiday before Williams has to be back in the UK to begin promotion of the new Take That single ‘Shame’, due out in October – the first to feature the whole band reunited since their acrimonious split.

Robbie Williams has had his battles with drugs and alcohol in the past so let’s hope he finds peace and happiness with his Swiss Army knife wife Ayda, but can we believe it?

    Robbie Williams, there’s something amiss,
I can’t find my invite, am I still on the list?
This cant be right, its surely a gaff,
it must have got lost, on my postmans week aff!

If I get the red eye, I might just make it,
with the help of two matchsticks, I think I can fake it!
Tell the captain I’m coming, and keep his plank out,
when I get near to the shore, I will give you a shout!

Is there, any chance of a room, at your abode?
and twit me the details, of the dress code!
I hope you dont mind, if I wear my big hat,
it was on a special, at Argyle Street Primark!

I forgot to ask you, what would you would like?
perhaps matching bathrobes, I can get them in white!
how about, space saving sheets or a pink towel bale,
if this is alright, they’ll come straight though the mail!

Now in case I don’t make it, carry on yersels,
but if I’m just late, listen out for the bell!
I’ll give it three rings, and you know its just me,
I’ll just make myself comfy, near the buffee!

What kind of food, are you having my dear?
so, I can prepare, does that sound quite queer?
Those Bhajias are hot and lethal going through,
your guest’s will be farting with a queue at the loo.

Chicken balls are alright, but tend to be greasy,
after twenty five, I usually get queasy!
If you could twit me the menu, I might change my mind,
let’s face it now Robbie the journey a grind!
