‘Revenge’ Season 3 Spoilers: Second-Half of Season Switches Gears with Plots

The second-half of season 3 with “Revenge” will switch gears in terms of plots and character direction. Showrunner, Sunil Nayar, recently shared some juicy tidbits about what’s to come on the highly popular ABC drama.

Emily Thorne was shot by Daniel Grayson and when “Homecoming” airs in January, things take a different turn for just about everyone in Emily’s inner circle.

Here’s what Nayar had to say about Emily’s amnesia:

“She has at the moment lost her memory of all of it, and you’ll see how we play out the amnesia storyline. Because obviously, it’s quite the soap opera trope. [But] what we’ve done with it is [do it] the way that Revenge would do it: in a way that’s extremely satisfying.”

How will things add up for Aiden now that his plans have been completely scrambled in running away with Emily out of the Hamptons?

“His future’s just been upended and Emily’s going to have to stay in the Hamptons for a little bit, and it’s confusing to him,” Nayar said.

The showrunner added that someone from Aiden’s past shows up — a woman. Will she complicate things for him and Emily? It certainly sounds like it! It presents a great opportunity for an Aiden backstory to be told.

As for Victoria Grayson, Nayar said she knows that Emily “is not on the level and that some of her suspicions are actually correct, which gives Victoria a great engine going into the second half of the season. She now has the power in the relationship, which she hasn’t had obviously in the first half of the season.”

Daniel Grayson will have some regrets about shooting Emily, but as Nayar pointed out, it will harden him. It changes him in some way which sounds as if Daniel will be less likely to be taken advantage of after his turmoil with Emily.

Luckily no one in the Grayson family knows that Emily is the real Amanda Clarke!

“Revenge” season 3, episode 11, “Homecoming” airs Sunday, Jan 5 on ABC at 9 p.m., ET/PT.
