Recycled Ring Adds Weight to Speculation Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries Marriage Is Fake

Kim Kardashian is facing heavy criticism after she filed for divorce from husband Kris Humphries just 72 days after their highly ostentatious wedding. We also brought you speculation that theirs was a fake wedding staged purely to get high ratings for the couple’s reality TV show. Well, as unlikely as that may sound (and many people think it’s not unlikely at all) celebrity bloggers may just have unearthed further evidence this was a fake wedding!

It appears that the engagement ring that Kris Humphries gave to Kim Kardashian looks suspiciously like a ring she already owned!

Kris was reported to have selected the 20.5-carat diamond ring, worth $2 million, himself from her favorite jeweller, Lorraine Schwartz.

Now Kim’s former publicist, Jonathon Jaxson, says that is not true and that the ring was actually something Kim Kardashian bought for herself previously. He even claims he has the details.

“On December 26, 2007 Kim wanted to stage a paparazzi moment acting like she got engaged because she was with Reggie Bush at the time, so I did a set up with her with the same ring,” he said.

It had allegedly obtained from jeweler XIV in Beverly Hills just before. So, for the cameras, she slipped the ring on her right hand and walk out with a XIV shopping bag.

Jaxon is alleging that this ring is the very same ring that was claimed to have been given to her by Kris Humphries as an engagement ring. The former publicist plans t discuss this story and further proof of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries’ fake wedding in a tell-all book titled Don’t You Know Who I Am Yet? He is currently trying to get a publisher for it.

So, take a look at the pictures and decide for yourself if they both show the same ring. We can’t decide, although the similarities are definitely there!

Like many people, I think this family is a bunch of attention whores. But, those two rings are slightly different. If you look at the channel/walls holding the center stone in place, one of the rings has the metal going the full length of the sides of the center stone, while the other ring has only partial coverage on either side.

That said, the stones look about the same size, meaning that they could be the same stones and merely have been reset to look different from the original. Same ring? I say no. Same stones? Quite probable.
