When it comes to “Real Housewives of New Jersey,” there’s not much Teresa Giudice and her husband, Joe, won’t do. It’s well known by fans at this point that Teresa and Joe are facing 39 counts of fraud and tax evasion. Despite the fact that his “Real Housewives” couple has been photographed frolicking on the beach and seen with all smiles without a care in the world after charges against them were filed, don’t be fooled. They’re sweating underneath it all.
Does that mean that Teresa is stooping to a new low by asking fans to donate money for her attorney fees?
A fundraising event for the Giudices was held at Maliblue Oyster Bar in Lido Beach, N.Y Thursday night. Apparently loyal fans to the “Real Housewives” stars wanted to do what they could to help.
“A group of bartenders and staff from a legendary Long Island beach resort and catering facility are collecting donations to support the legal defense of … Teresa Giudice,” the press release for the event read. “Her supporters and millions of fans around the world strongly believe Teresa will be vindicated soon and are seeking donations for the reality TVstar, who has four young children. The group is dedicated to helping Teresa stay out of prison and also help pay any fines or other restitution that Teresa and Joe are ordered to pay.”
Teresa claimed she knew nothing about this event and wrote this on Twitter Thursday night:
“Tonight’s appearance at Maliblue is just a meet & greet w/ fans. I just heard that some of the workers there wanted to support me, and that
is very sweet & I appreciate it, but if anyone wants to support me, please do it by donating to a charity I love: @NephCure. Xx”
It looks like Teresa Giudice wasn’t aware of this and requests her fans send their donations to causes she cares about. Hopefully fans will listen and do just that.
