It may be that Woods, like many prominent, priveledged and wealthy celebrities, felt he was bulletproof. Bulletproof, perhaps, but vulnerable to a good golf swing.

With celebrity and wealth comes responsibility, but evidently Woods did not read that far in the manual. For a short while he will suffer from the stark contrast between his carefully built public image and this exposure.
