Animal activists are furious after it emerged that sister-in-law to the hunt loving British Royals Pippa Middleton went on a hunting trip in Belgium were six boar and nine deer were killed. It’s not known to what extent Pippa took part in the shooting or if any of the kills were down to her.
The Duchess of Cambridge’s sister allegedly went on the shooting trip in Gerpinnes, Belgium, in woods owned by the country’s richest man, Albert Frere.
Pippa joined a party of twenty people on the trip, which was organised by the billionaire’s grandsons, William (27) and Cedric (28) who are quite probably the most eligible bachelors in the country.
However, animal rights charity Viva has given Pippa Middleton a severe scolding for going along to the hunting party.
Spokesman Justin Kerswell told the UK’s “The Sun” newspaper,
“It’s a shame she’s so desperate to be royal by association that she’s now seemingly aping their hunting bloodlust. There is nothing classy about shooting terrified wild animals for sport.”
This is just one example of a recent backlash against Pippa Middleton, whom Brits increasingly consider as a party girl who is trying to free load on her sister Kate Middleton’s huge popularity to bag herself the good life,
The League Against Cruel Sports said of the Belgian hunting trip,
“It’s sad to see someone in such an influential position indulging in this cruelty.”
Pippa has recently been enjoying a jet-set lifestyle; last September American millionaire Andre Balazs flew her to his Sunset Beach boutique hotel on the exclusive Shelter Island during her trip to New York.
Last April Pippa Middleton was a guest at a party in Paris thrown by French fashion entrepreneur Vicomte Arthur de Soultrait, also known to be a keen hunter. You know the one – where Pippa’s companion was criticized for waving a replica handgun at paparazzi in the street.
