Oksana Grigorieva Tells Mel Gibson: I Say Where Lucia Attends School

Mel Gibson is learning that all his money and fame counts for nothing when it comes to striking a custody deal. His bitter ex-partner Oksana Grigorieva is making it hard for him to maintain a relationship with his child.

Millions of fathers will relate to Mel Gibson’s current family court struggles with his ex-partner. Mel and his baby mama Oksana Grigorieva are battling their way through mediation. We brought you one of the contentious issues yesterday, which was Oksana claim a half a million bucks in compensation for the distress Mel caused to her elder son during their fights.

Now, one of the other big issues is where baby Lucia goes to school.  Oksana wants to educate Lucia privately in a school close to her home in the San Fernando Valley.

Mel is seeking joint custody of Lucia (which Oksana is also fighting), so he wants his daughter to attend a school halfway between Oksana’s home and his home in Malibu.

The journey between Malibu and the San Fernando Valley is a long one at the best of times, forget the traffic! So Mel doesn’t want to have to do that when he picks up Lucia from school or drops her off (thinking in terms of joint custody.) So he is asking a judge to rule that Lucia can be educated at a school mid-way between the two parental homes.

So Mel Gibson looks no nearer solving his battles with ex-girlfriend Oksana. He thinks most of their problems could be solved by joint custody of Lucia but Oksana appears strongly opposed to that idea.

Even Oksana’s lawyers now want her to budge so she can reach a custody settlement with Mel. They want to get paid!

Oksana is said to still be so bitter that she’d rather drag Mel Gibson through the mud than settle and just walk away. But what is that doing to little Lucia?
