Paula Abdul Fired From X Factor USA? Host Steve Jones and Nicole Scherzinger Already Gone

It looks like it’s all change for the next season of X Factor USA. The departures of host Steve Jones and judge Nicole Scherzinger have already been confirmed by Fox TV. Now it seems Paula Abdul is set to leave the show after just one season. The shock news is: it looks like she has been fired!

Rumors of an X Factor shake-up are now becoming clearer, and it seems the show bosses want to make sweeping changes in an attempt to win the ratings war.

Steve Jones revealed on his Twitter page last night that he will not be returning to host the second season of The X Factor USA, which has already been commissioned.

Nicole Scherzinger is also now known to have gone, but Fox are yet to confirm that Paula Abdul has also exited stage left.

It is not yet known exactly why Scherzinger left the show but for months she has been saying she wants to concentrate on her music career, rather than become known as a talent show judge. She has been known to be unhappy that the US release date of her album Killer Love has been pushed back on a number of occasions, which Scherzinger said last month was due to her X Factor commitments.

But why is Nicole Scherzinger leaving The X Factor? It is widely speculated that her motives may not be just to concentrate on singing. Lord Andre Lloyd Webber is said to be interested in recruiting her for his new ITV talent show Superstar in the UK.

It was great news to hear that Simon Cowell fired Abdul, Scherzinger, and Jones….I personally stopped watching X Factor because of the conflicts between judges supporting their own protegees, instead of being honest about who was the best performer of the evening.

Also, the extravagant staging overpowered the singers’ actual talent, and distracted from the show tremendously. All my friends preferred the performances at the judges homes, where their voices predominated, showcasing their talents. After the busy staging, all my friends and I stopped watching X Factor, and in fact, prefer American Idol much more.

I would recommend that next season, they discard the judges mentoring gig……judging each performer for their talent, sans the competition between judges, would create an honesty that was lacking this last season. Also, 3 judges instead of 4 is more desirable.

    My recommendations for judges are:
Simon Cowell/Beyonce’/Bon Jovi (Mariah Carey is soooo yesterday)
