Weston Cage, 21-year-old son of actor Nicolas Cage, was last week hospitalized after a huge meltdown after storming out of a restaurant when he was told by his trainer he could not eat something on the menu. This tremendous toddler tantrum culminated in the cops being called and Weston being carted off to hospital, under police guard and strapped to a gurney.
We can reveal that it was Nic Cage himself who sent a staff member after Weston and sanctioned the cops being called. But he was there with his son to accompany him to hospital.
Weston Cage flipped out at a restaurant in Hollywood on the afternoon of June 8 when his trainer told him he could not eat something he wanted. Weston violently pushed the trainer, who initially took Weston down. But he was soon back up and freaking out again. He stormed out of the restaurant and the police were called.
Arriving on the scene, the cops told Weston that if he didn’t get on ground they would taser him. Weston then complied, and was cuffed and strapped to a gurney. From there he was taken to a local hospital for psychological evaluation.
It seems that Weston had also had a serious argument with his new wife, Nikki Williams, that morning and she stormed out of their house and went missing for a few hours. It was Weston’s father, the actor Nic Cage, who sent his assistant, 39-year-old Kevin Villegas, to find Weston and bring him home.
Kevin quickly found Weston in L.A., but Weston was resistant and aggressive, even threatening to rip off Kevin’s “Christian f-ing head.” Kevin immediately reported the situation to Nic and he was the one who instructed Kevin to call 911. When Weston realized cops were on the way he flipped out and struck a roundhouse kick on Kevin.
Apparently, Kevin, who served with the U.S. military, feared for his safety because Weston is a highly-trained fighter, so he attacked Cage with a series of punches. The police arrived and Weston Cage was hospitalized for a mental evaluation. He is now considering pressing charges.
