Natalie Portman Talks “Green” Ahead of “Your Highness” Release

It has been a little while now since we’ve seen Natalie Portman on the big screen but tomorrow, she is back. Her last movie release was her Oscar award winning performance in “Black Swan”. But her new movie, “Your Highness” opens in cinemas tomorrow. Ahead of her latest cinema release, Portman has been talking about weed. The green stuff. Marijuana. Really.

Natalie Portman’s new movie is a stoner comedy. “Your Highness” will show Portman as a more fun and funny character than anything she has played before, she says. The movie also stars James Franco (and he appears to have at least some experience of looking stoned, judging by his recent hosting job on the Oscars of Apathy!).

Perhaps surprisingly for some Portman fans, she admitted,

“I love stoner comedies!”

But does Natalie Portman (29) know what she’s talking about? Has she ever actually taken a toke of the wonder weed herself? Apparently, yes she has. She isn’t afraid to admit it, either. But she was much younger then, she says.

“I smoked weed in college, but I haven’t smoked in years. I’m too old. I wish I was that cool, but I’m like an old lady now.”

Cool? Weed? Ouch! That has to be as much of a blow to the actress’ fresh-faced and squeaky clean image as it is a slap in the face to many of us that she considers herself “old” at the age of twenty-nine!
