Did she or didn’t she have a nip slip? That is the question everyone seems interested in asking Nancy Grace today. And she is keen to deny it all, although her reaction on Dancing With The Stars last night seemed to say otherwise.
The 51-year-old TV journalist appeared to suffer a nip slip at the end of her quickstep routine with partner Tristan MacManus, but Nancy Grace Tweeted to comedian Kathy Griffin,
“I firmly deny the alleged ‘nip slip’ & I demand Kathy Griffin come to #DWTS to launch a full investigation. “I will voluntarily provide YOU access to my industrial strength bra.”
So at least she seems to have a sense of humor about the whole thing, even if she’s not ready to be “up front” about it.
The alleged nip slip aired on the live East Coast edition of Dancing With The Stars 13, but was edited out for the tape delayed West Coast version. After the routine, an apparently embarrassed Grace buried her face in her partner’s shoulder.
Host Tom Bergeron acknowledged what had happened, saying that “on the European version, that would be perfectly fine!”
Of course, outspoken judge Bruno Tonioli couldn’t resist mentioning it too.
“Nancy, vivacious, alive, and confident — it was a bit top-heavy at times, my darling,” he said. “And I got an eyeful! I couldn’t miss that.”
The alleged wardrobe malfunction had virtually no impact on Nancy Grace’s score, as she received a great score of 21 out of 30 points on the night for her quickstep. That put her second on the leader board, just two pointsbehind Ricki Lake.
ABC quickly cut away to a wide shoot of the audience, and when the camera returned to her she had readjusted her dress.
It was a bit of a blink and you’ll miss it moment, but do you think there was a Nancy Grace nip slip? With all the talk of decency on these early evening entertainment programs lately, did ABC handle it well?
