Nancy Grace and Ricki Lake Share DWTS 13 Weight Loss Delight

Dancing with the Stars is often as well known for the dramatic weight loss of the celebrities as it is for their performances on the dance floor. Think Kirsty Alley last year. But DWTS 13 is no exception to this rule of celebrities having some significant weight loss. Ricki Lake and Nancy Grace are clearly delighted by the effects and Chaz Bono has even seen an impressive weight loss.

So what are the DWTS weight loss secrets?

Ricki Lake, who was teamed up with several time champion Derek Hough, has even spoken to Us magazine about her new figure. Apparently, she has already lost a stone in weight after just a few weeks and one performance on DWTS 13. But confusingly, she says she hasn’t weighed herself and really, it’s about losing inches anyway.

“Every time I show up for work, I’m like ‘I got smaller,’ but I have haven’t weighed myself,” she said.

Ricki Lake is only one of many stars that have been on the show in the past and been excited over the amount of weight that they have lost by simply going through the dance training for the show. Lake even admitted that it was Kirstie Alley’s weight loss that inspired her to be on this season of the show.

Nancy Grace has also welcomed the weight loss.

“I’ve inadvertently lost 10 lbs. on the ‘I’m-too-tired-to-eat’ diet,” Grace told PEOPLE at Variety’s Power of Women Event at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills on Friday.

The HLN legal analyst, who is partnered with DWTS pro Tristan MacManus, is unexpectedly enjoying the exhausting practice schedule.

“By the time I get the children [3-year-old twins Lucy and John David] ready for school, then practice and then come home, I’m like exhausted,” she said. “If you would have told me five to seven hours of dance practice was fun, I would have never believed you, but it is.”

She wants to inspire working mothers and have many performances for her twins to look back on so they can be proud of their mother.
