Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff Break Up!

Maksim-Chmerkovskiy-and-Karina-SmirnoffDancing with the Stars veterans Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff were planning the wedding of their dreams. They had been dating for just over a year and things appeared to be going well – until they hit a rocky area a few months ago.

In July, the couple announced that they were prolonging their engagement, claiming that heavy schedules were making it difficult to plan the wedding. Now, many are suggesting that the two had been on the rocks months before the public caught on.

Regardless of when or why the relationship dissolved – the two are no longer together. A rep for Karina confirmed the news to PEOPLE, simply stating that the rumors were true and there would be no other comments concerning the breakup.

Maxim and Karina seemed like the perfect duo – on and off the dance floor and no one can figure out what went wrong.

Do you think either Maxim or Karina are interested in someone else – or simply sick of each other?
