Like mother, like daughter. Lourdes Leon appears to have inherited mom Madonna’s desire for world domination, and she is prematurely experimenting with adulthood while she does so. The mini-mogul launched her own fashion collection at 13 and now, at the tender age of 14, she has released her first line in cosmetics.
The mini-mogul launched a fashion collection at the age of 13 and now, at 14 has released her first beauty products line, “Material Girl.”
At just 14, Lourdes (affectionately known as “Lola”) is of an age when most girls are first allowed to experiment with cosmetics. Yet Lourdes displayed a very adult look at the launch of “Material Girl Beauty” in New York City at the beginning of this month.
The “Material Girl” cosmetics range features nail polishes, lip glosses and eyeshadows. The new line also features body lotions, body washes, mists, lip glosses and nail polishes, will be available from mid-August at Macy’s and Macys.com and sold for $7-$12.
Lola’s look for the launch also showcased her cosmetics as she pared a barely-there face with racy red lips, dressed in a short, red-sleeved shirt with polka dots from the Material girl spring/summer 2011 line, teamed with ripped denim shorts and clunky white Dr. Marten boots. Her ebony hair was worn in a simple ponytail with a slim black headband to complete the look.
She wore her own Soft & Pretty eye palette, with Sandstorm in her crease, Pink in the middle and Golden Shimmer underneath her eyebrow. M.A.C.’s Russian Red lipstick completed the look. Her eye palette that she used for the launch does not hit stores until September.
The whole range of “Material Girl” cosmetics is packaged in colored bottles and compacts covered in a floral and lace print, reminiscent of her mother’s infamous fingerless lace gloves.
Kelly Osbourne is the face of the “Material Girl” range.
