Lindsay Lohan initially seemed to settle down well into her 360 hours of court-ordered community service. There were calls for the media to give her a break as she was trying to turn over a new leaf. Now it’s a wonder that Li-Lo isn’t back behind bars after violating her probation in just about every way possible!
First, Lindsay Lohan has violated the judge’s order to see a psychologist at least once a week. That in itself could be grounds for sending her back to jail. But to add to that, Lindsay was so unreliable at the Downtown Women’s Center that they told her not to come back!
Judge Stephanie Sautner made it clear to Lindsay during her sentence last May that she must see a counsellor every week. But she hasn’t even bothered to do that, claiming her work commitments made it impossible. Judge Sautner said that would be no excuse and warned Lindsay that any probation violations meant she’d be heading back to jail.
It turns out Lindsay Lohan’s failure to visit a counsellor is just the beginning of her blowing of any and all probation terms. She was kicked out of the Downtown Women’s Center, where she was to perform 360 hours of community service.
When she started her stint there, Lindsay said she liked it and felt it was rewarding. Well, she sure changed her tune quick! She said the staff were mean to her from moment she arrived.
She was kicked off the program for repeatedly failing to show up, and even when she did appear, she usually did not stay for the required 4 hours at a time. That’s another excuse Judge Sautner hasfor sending her back to jail.
So, things are unlikely to look good for Lindsay Lohan when she returns to court next week and the judge hears that as of September 30, Lindsay logged a grand total of 21 hours, leaving 339 hours which must be completed by May 11, 2012. Far from beinf “reliable and non-disruptive” as she is ordered, Lidsay blew off 9 scheduled visits and then usually bailed after an hour.
So, she has had to be assigned a new community service placement. This time it’s the Red Cross. She started work there this week. She says she likes the staff there so will do her community service according to the stipulated terms.
But is it too late for Lindsay Lohan to avoid jail?
