It looks like a good day for “Mean Girls” star Lindsay Lohan. She and pal Paris Hilton have buried the hatchet and are friends again. Lindsay is also expecting to find that she will only have to serve 2 weeks with an ankle tag for her recent theft of a necklace.
Trouble erupted between the friends when Paris Hilton joked about Lindsay on her upcoming reality show, “The World According To Paris”. The preview showed Paris giving a pair of earrings to a homeless woman a pair of earrings. The woman mistook Paris for Lindsay, so Paris came back with the reply, “If I were Lindsay, I’d be stealing the earrings, and not giving them away.”
Not nice, Paris! The hotel heiress issued a public apology last week to Lohan. He reportedly felt terrible about what she said about Lindsay. Apparently it was intended as a harmless joke. Paris seemed sincerely sorry and so Lindsay accepted Paris’ apology.
“The girls have known each other a long time. Lindsay wants to have lunch with Paris and hang out with her,” an insider said. “All is good now between the girls.”
It looks like all is good now for Lindsay, too. Legal sources insist that she is not getting any special treatment in court due to her celebrity status, but the chances are that she will still serve her 120-day jail sentence at home wearing an ankle monitor because she is considered a low risk offender. And not only that, Lohan will only have to serve about 14-16 days because women sentenced to similar sentences serve about 25% of the actual time.
We will soon find out what happens, because the case is due at the LAX Airport Courthouse at around 10:00 am, PST today. Lindsay Lohan is not expected to attend.
We will bring you sentencing news as soon as we have it.
