Lindsay Lohan’s Ankle Monitor Sounded

Los Angeles probation officers visited Lindsay Lohan’s Venice Beach home on Tuesday after the alarm on her electronic ankle monitor sounded out. That would suggest that she had somehow violated the terms of her house arrest and broken her curfew.

That may be just what you were expecting to happen. However, just why the ankle bracelet went off is a mystery. Lindsay Lohan was found at home, and apparently not breaching any of her probation conditions.

The “LA Times” has reported that at the time the probation officers arrived at her apartment, Lindsay Lohan was watching her 3-D TV, browsing scripts and posing for photographs for the tabloids on her rooftop. Throughout her house arrest, which has appeared increasingly like an enforced vacation, Lohan has received guests and has been able to get on with her work of reading scripts for her upcoming and proposed movie projects.

Lohan’s rep, Steve Honig, has played down the official visit, saying, “They came as part of standard procedure to make sure the monitoring equipment was working properly.”

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department have refused to comment, saying that they did not know anything about Lindsay Lohan’s ankle bracelet going off. However, it appears to have been an ankle bracelet malfunction and it seems that Lindsay did not violate her court order.

Lohan was fitted with the electronic ankle monitor at the Lynwood Jail before retuning to her Venice Beach home to serve 35 days of house arrest. She is also serving 480 hours of community service, divided between a women’s center and a morgue.
