Kenya Moore Cancer Scare On The Real Housewives Of Atlanta

Sunday’s edition of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” was an especially poignant one as Kenya Moore a biopsy on camera. Thankfully, lab results returned the good news that neither of the two lumps removed were cancerous but the cancer scare left her questioning her priorities in life.

“I had my annual mammogram done and I didn’t get the best news,” Kenya said. “The doctor found not one, but two, lumps in my breast. Today I have to have a biopsy.”

She admitted she was terrified at the prospect of the biopsy and what would be discovered, especially as she feels she has neglected her health in the past. In last night’s show, we saw the self-proclaimed Beyonce lookalike talk at length about how she feels she has misplaced her priorities in the past, giving too much of her energy to feuding with her cast mates.

“I’m tired of all the drama,” she said. “I’m tired of things that don’t even matter.”

Thankfully, the biopsy results showed that Kendra was cancer-free in both lumps.

Now Kendra has used her experience and her fame to urge others to take better care of their health.

“I know the Grammys are in but 2nights episode of #RHOA is very special to me. I encourage anyone that has lost a loved one to cancer 2 watch,” Kenya Tweeted. “Thank u for your prayers. Black women death rate is 41% higher than any other race. Early detection is key. Please get tested #I’mblessed.”

She also thanked her doctor “the most amazing doctor in ATL she has won so many awards but her positive spirit overwhelmed me #BLESSED.”

The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sunday on Bravo at 8/7c.
