“Kate Middleton bangs” is the latest hairstyle trend sweeping through not only England — but in the U.S.. Since the Duchess of Cambridge showcased her new “do” Tuesday night, women are wanting the stylish royal’s look.
Mordechai Alvow’s salon in Manhattan — Yarok Hair — styles hair for famous celebrities like Ivanka Trump and said Kate’s bangs are what a lot of customers want right now.
“There has absolutely been a surge in demand for long bangs,” Alvow told MailOnline.
“Designers have been showing a lot of retro Seventies looks and they are a great match.”
Several stylists say Kate Middleton’s long bangs look parted in the middle goes well with almost any face shape.
“Kate’s bangs are angled towards the end of the eyebrows framing her face beautifully which is a more Seventies look,” Alvow added.
The Duchess’ hairstyle was done by her longtime stylist, Richard Ward. The cut suits her length well. The bangs aren’t too long or too short. Kate, herself, admitted that she’s not entirely sure she likes the new do. As any woman can relate, it’s a change that takes getting used to. For years Kate had all of her hair one length. Bangs are an enormous adjustment and can feel more like they’re in the way at the beginning and seem to fall in your face.
