Kate Hudson’s Big Baby Bump and Even Bigger Rock

Kate Hudson proudly showed off her big baby bump and bigger engagement ring on the red carpet at the Hollywood premiere of her new film, “Something Borrowed”, yesterday. Her recently changing circumstances have a newly confident Hudson thinking about love and relationships and putting things in perspective.

Last week, the actress, who is the thirty-two-year-old daughter of Goldie Hawn, announced her engagement to Muse rocker, Matthew Bellamy, the father her unborn baby. Yesterday, she looked beautiful in her canary yellow dress with an impressive diamond ring on her finger.

The “Almost Famous” beauty already has a seven-year-old son, Ryder, with her ex-husband, the Black Crowes front man Chris Robinson. Kate Hudson has been romantically linked to New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez, cyclist Lance Armstrong and actor Owen Wilson in the past.

But now the actress says her relationships have grown more “adult” as she has got older and she now values “respect” more than “passionate, crazy love.” It was having Ryder that changed her attitude. She says her child and the one she is carrying are the main focus of her life. That means she is now happy to speak up if something is not right in a relationship.

She is also determined to have the balance right with her children.

“When you see kids walking all over their parents, you realise they’re just doing it because they know they can. Ryder would never do that, because he knows he can’t. It’s the same with friendships.”
